A soft and lovely ring in a classic Victorian style, featuring three diamonds set flush into smooth burnished gold, wonderfully heavy yet low and slim on the finger. While the ring bears late 20th-century hallmarks, as best we can tell, they come from a later refurbishment on an antique piece. One side diamond was also replaced (possibly at this point), with a larger, slightly hazy round brilliant diamond. Though the centre stone is an old cut, a pavilion fracture gives it a more splintery effect; the third diamond is a beautiful and classic old European cut. Though the three diamonds can read as having quite distinct looks in still photos, video (available at instagram.com/st.eloi or by request) makes their vivid sparkle as the overall effect clear!

Good condition; gold has a lovely soft patina, centre diamond has a surface-reaching fracture on the pavilion that is unlikely to pose any risk of breakage. Priced to reflect condition.
