Petite in scale and grand in impact, this antique horseshoe ring sees nine twinkling old cut diamonds set in warm rosy gold with softly ribbed shoulders. The diamonds straddle the freewheeling period between old mine and old European cut dominance, showcasing elements of both faceting patterns each in their own charming way. The horseshoe has been considered a good luck symbol for hundreds of years, though some believe it should be worn or displayed with the curve at the bottom in order to catch blessings, while others feel strongly that it must open downwards so that the luck can pour out on to you. Whether you're a dedicated horsey girl, a firm believer in lucky talismans, or simply a lover of Victorian craftsmanship - this is the perfect ring for you.

Good antique condition with moderate wear, including a full reshank that is yellower in colour than the head of the ring, and a few very minor nibbles at the edges of some stones. Recent retipping ensures all stones are secure.
