This gorgeous antique Edwardian chain is an absolute statement piece: bold, chunky links (hollow formed but still weighty) look like a cross between and anchor and a box link, combining a smooth rounded edge with crisp corners in perfect balance, while a massive amethyst fob commands attention. This chain, originally designed as a men's piece, features a t-bar which would slip through the button hole of a vest; at the far end of the chain the dog clip would be secured to a pocket watch, and the short end holding the gemstone would have hung loose down the front, serving double duty as a seal if needed, and providing fashionable flair otherwise. This versatile chain can be styled a number of ways, adding more charms to either the large ring holding the fob or directly to the dog clip at the clasp. If desired, the amethyst could easily be removed altogether for a more streamlined and subtle look - though we're certainly taken with its vivid depths.

Good antique condition with wear in line with age and use, including one dented link, wear to plated ring, wear and a small chip to amethyst.
