We absolutely adore this little weirdo of a ring! Combining elements of fede, claddagh, nameplate and signet jewelry, this small ring features a pair of hands presenting an elegant plaque engraved with the name "Minnie." Hands in jewelry are a well-established motif, with the claddagh stemming from the earlier fede (short for mani di fede, hands in faith), a pair of hands clasped in agreement. We love the details of their palms and cuffs, and the symbolism of this pair of hands presenting this gift with love, friendship, and loyalty.
We've been told that Minnie is a diminutive for sweet old names like Wilhelmina, Minerva, Hermione, and Amelia, as well as Mary, or even as a name in its own right. Perhaps you've a loved one who is a fan of Disney or Harry Potter, or is small in stature but great in style?
Details:
• 10k yellow gold, stamped and tested
• Size 5 and resizeable within reason; band has evidence of past resizing and ring is slightly out of round
• Rise off finger is 1mm, plaque is 6.4mm by 9.1mm, and the back of the band is 1.4mm wide and 0.6mm thick
• 1.3g
