Is there a more perfect pairing than rich yellow gold and deep velvety sapphires? Ok, fine - maybe all of that plus a sprinkling of diamond sparkle for good measure.

This ring has certainly been loved over of the past hundred years (she's stamped for 1919!), and some wear to the stone surfaces show that, plus the period-appropriate quality of the tiny rose cut diamonds that would have been plucked from what was available at the jeweller's bench. Simple and unassuming, this lovely ring was never meant to be a showstopper, but has surely always been the light of its owner's eye.

Hollowed underneath but slightly lifted off the finger, the ring has a little oomph of volume and presence while still being lightweight and comfortable, a perfect every day piece.
