Lucky Vintage Shamrock Charm
Lucky Vintage Shamrock Charm
The shamrock - from an Irish diminutive of the humble clover - has been associated with Ireland since 16th century writings, and while claims of its ties to St. Patrick trace it back centuries earlier, that connection is not recorded until the 1600s. Claimed as a symbol by Ireland in the 1700s, it's added to the official UK coat of arms by 1800. While recognized as a shorthand for luck far and wide, it's rare to see the shamrock or clover divorced from its specific Irish ties.
Good vintage condition.
