Plush Antique Five Diamond Band
Plush Antique Five Diamond Band
Reluctantly plucked from my personal collection, for this ring deserves to be worn and admired so much more than I'm able to offer it: a dazzling row of old mine cut diamonds, their pillowy outlines cradled in warm, high karat gold. These bands - a variation of popular boat styles (so named for the elongated tapered shape of their faces) - were most popular in the Victorian and Edwardian eras, though five-stone bands also enjoyed a heyday in the Georgian period and continued to be loved in the 20th and 21st centuries as markers of anniversaries and other milestones.
Very good vintage condition with moderate wear in line with age and use.
