For millennia, gold has been associated with the glow and power of the sun, and high karat alloys make the connection clear. The saturated hue has a beautiful warmth and shine. Dancing around this particular midcentury band is an icy thread of platinum and feels just that little bit more chic for its twist on a classic.

Gold alloys are softer in higher karats, so this old ring has developed some lovely wear over its lifetime with all the little scratches and dings that can't be replicated in a modern piece. While regular band rings are easy to resize, and often bear evidence of past resizing, we don't recommend it for this ring as that beautiful patina would be lost, as well as the added difficulty of the high heat required for platinum, and for the interruption to the pattern.

We just adore the quiet luxury of high karat gold and platinum - a simple, stoneless band in a completely timeless style.

Very good vintage condition with wear in line with age and use.
