Unique and Sentimental Wartime Wedding Band

A sweet little piece of history, this band bears the stamps of its time both in medium and message. The wedding band is crafted in an alloy of ruthenium-palladium (both members of the platinum family), an alternative not often used but available at the time, as platinum and components of white gold were restricted in civilian use through the second World War. The inscription has well, though difficult to read (it appears that perhaps the ring was stretched after having been engraved), has the date June 27, 1944, along with a pair of initials and the phrase, "Only Forever."
Minimalist yet romantic, this ring has a clean and modern look with an old-school secret tucked inside. Seven single cut diamonds provide just the right about of sparkle, nestled in a slim channel setting.
Details:
• Ruthenium-palladium, stamped RUPALL
• Size 7, not sizeable without disrupting the inside engraving
• Seven single cut diamonds, approximately 0.12 carats total weight, I-J SI1
• 1.4g
• Engraved inside, "Only Forever" and two sets of initials (appear to be MJM - DRA) and the date 6-27-44
