The fede ring, from the Italian phrase "mani di fede," is distinguished by the figure of two hands (clasped in faith, per the translation) that has come to represent friendship, love, or engagement. The style of ring rose in popularity in medieval times, and was a popular choice for engagement rings and wedding bands for hundreds of years.

The early fede ring evolved into many forms, including elaborate gimmel fedes with multiple bands that intwined, to the modern claddagh ring where the hands clasp a crowned heart. This particular fede is a pared down classic, with the only extra flair coming from the sweetly rendered shirt cuffs on each hand. In a soft yellow 9k gold and a lightly modelled form, this ring is comfortable and easy to wear, while a broad face and slim band draw the eye.

This ring would make a perfectly charming friendship or promise ring, wedding band, or even a piece to serve as a reminder to hold faith in yourself.
