A gorgeous and slim ring featuring a smoothed over engraved pattern and a secret romantic inscription tucked inside. The exterior pattern, though very well-worn, appears to a classic wheat sheaf pattern, which was a very popular motif in the art deco period, and even earlier. The pattern was often selected for wedding bands for its representation of prosperity, fertility, and the bounty of the earth: reasonable wishes for newlyweds! Inside, a sweet script engraving for "FP to ET 5-7-27." The ring appears to be of American origin, so we suspect the date is May 7, but it would work just as well for July 5.

A rare find in yellow gold when white gold and platinum were riding a wave of popularity, this would be a beautiful wedding band or a great addition to your everyday jewelry wardrobe. There appears to be a small pit from a past resizing, and while the pattern isn't easy to discern, we don't recommend resizing again.
